Would you like to win a Gary Fisher Simple City bicycle and Vapor helmet from Trek? An Autumn Season CSA share from Two Onion Farm? An Osprey Kestrel 48 backpack from Erehwon? How about a tandem RainReserve rain barrel system from Sustain Dane, $100 worth of local foods and goods from Willy Street Coop, or an Energy Conservation Kit from MG&E? These and many more prizes are part of the All Things Monona Raffle, and could be yours if you buy a winning ticket!
Tickets are only $5. Proceeds support The Natural Step Monona’s good works in our community and beyond. A total of twenty-four prizes worth about $2500 will be given to the winning ticket holders. (The “about” is because one of the prizes is four shares of MG&E stock, and its value varies. How cool a prize is that?!)
Please salivate over the prizes shown below, and then buy lots of tickets at our events and from our members between now and August 27. (Upcoming events: Monona Community Festival, Sunday, July 4, 10-5; Monona Farmers’ Market July 18 and August 22, 9-1; Growing Power tour/field trip, August 7, tour at 2:30, ride-sharing timing to come; raffle drawing itself–August 27, 6:30 up until the drawing at 7:30.) You can also buy tickets at Monona Motors, 4500 Winnequah Road.
If you don’t know any members, can’t make it to our events, and can’t swing by Monona Motors, shoot an email to info@tnsmonona.org and we’ll figure out how to get some tickets into your hands. The drawing is on August 27 at the Dream Park Shelter in Winnequah Park in Monona. You can come have some fun, see the prizes, and buy tickets at this event starting at 6:30; the drawing of prizes starts at 7:30.
Thank you to the prize donors — business owners, individuals, and organizations — who gave such amazing items for this raffle. Without their generosity, this raffle would not have been possible. Thanks to our members and friends who are selling tickets. Thanks also to everyone who purchased (or will purchase!) tickets — you’re supporting the continued good works of The Natural Step Monona and its volunteer members!
