Mad City Chickens are coming to Monona! This feature-length film premiered in April 2008 at the Wisconsin Film Festival in Madison. Mad City Chickens deftly weaves multiple stories and contextual issues on city chickens and their keepers in a non-linear fashion that one rarely sees in a documentary. From leading experts to urban newbies, experience the humor and heart of what’s fast becoming an international backyard chicken movement. Documentary filmmakers Tashai Lovington & Robert Lughai will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening. The film has been enthusiastically received in several film festivals and has just been accepted into the 2009 Victoria Film Festival in British Columbia, Canada. It continues to get positive reviews from the media and chicken folk alike. View and listen to some press and interviews:
