Please note the time change to accommodate “Concerts in the Park.”
On June 30, learn about ways to save big money by saving energy. Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability presents Amy Lord of Focus on Energy, and Monona’s own Laura Paprocki, Home Performance with Energy Star Consultant.
Amy explains Focus on Energy programs and financial incentives, and helps us make more informed decisions about energy efficiency and renewable energy. Focus on Energy works with eligible Wisconsin residents and businesses to install cost effective energy projects – helping implement projects that otherwise would not be completed, or complete projects sooner than scheduled. New tax incentives will help those willing to take steps now toward efficiency and rewewables.
Laura presents the value of home energy audits, wherein specially-trained contractors evaluate homes using state-of-the-art equipment and recommend comprehensive improvements that yield the best results. She will show us how not to throw money away, but to put it where it will return the best rewards.
Green Tuesdays: Films & Lectures on Sustainability is the enlightening and entertaining series of lectures, films, and conversations on sustainable living brought to you by The Natural Step Monona and the Monona Public Library. This year Green Tuesdays are on the second and fifth Tuesdays of the month. The series is free and open to the public. This session is earlier and abbreviated, due to the “Concerts in the Park” event at 7:00, but sessions normally start at 6:30 and run until 8:00. Often the engaging and fun conversations push the conclusion a bit past that hour.
