Humans are the most successful species on the planet, but are placing unprecedented demand on the planet’s limited ecological resources. How can we assure our future well-being? The film The Ecological Footprint shows how we can document whether we are living within our ecological budget or consuming nature’s resources faster than the planet can renew them. After the film, Katie Ross, from Seventh Generation, a sustainable energy and community organization based in Madison, will lead a group discussion to tally our ecological footprint and uncover why our footprint is its current size.  We’ll end with an action-planning exercise to find creative new ways of footprint reduction.

The ”Green Tuesdays” series is co-hosted by the Monona Public Library and The Natural Step Monona. All sessions are held at the Monona Public Library (1000 Nichols Road, Monona).
